The pre-season tests of Formula 2 ended in Bahrain on Thursday. If the day was shortened to four hours in Formula 3, the Formula 2 participants worked out two full sessions.
In the morning, the riders worked on long sets of laps, imitating the race. The session went smoothly, there were no serious departures and red flags. The best time was set by Ralph Boschung – 1:45.027 seconds, and Roy Nissany covered the greatest distance of 46 laps.
After the break, work continued on the track. During the day, the riders concentrated on short sets of laps with empty tanks. Tests were interrupted once by red flags – Roman Stanek stopped on track twenty minutes before the end.
The Trident driver’s car was promptly removed and after testing resumed, Kush Maini showed the best time – 1:42.623 seconds. Isaac Hadjar drove the longest distance with 41 laps.
The next time the Formula 2 drivers take to the track during the first round of the season in Bahrain, which will be held at the Sakhir circuit on March 3 and 5.
