In an interview with Speedcafe, Daniel Ricciardo said that after his return to Red Bull there is no more animosity between him and Max Verstappen.
Daniel Ricciardo: “In the few years I spent outside Red Bull, Max has grown and matured – as a person and as a racer. Yes, we had a clash in Baku, but otherwise the personal relationship remained normal, we exchanged text messages from time to time.
Since I left he has become a two-time world champion, his professional growth is obvious, but otherwise he has not changed much, although of course he has aged.
As I get serious about working on the simulator, I will have more contact with Max and Sergio. I will write to them: “Guys, here are my feelings from the car, what do you think? Were the problems similar? Is this the direction you are looking for?
If they ask me to solve a specific problem I am happy to help, but otherwise I try to get more out of the car and contribute to the progress of the team.
