Hamilton hopes to fight for Silverstone win

Lewis Hamilton is today in his homeland, in the UK, where, judging by his publications on social networks, he flew, among other things, so as not to miss the celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The start of the season was surprisingly unimportant for Mercedes and the team is still unable to enter into a dispute over victory, which is led by Red Bull Racing and Ferrari. At the same time, Hamilton insists that in the coming weeks she can finally solve the problems that are preventing drivers from fully unlocking the car’s potential as she wants to win the British Grand Prix – which will be held at Silverstone in a month.

“I hope that at least from Silverstone, our car will be at the level where it should be, so that we can fight for victory there with the Red Bull and Ferrari racers,” said the seven-time world champion. “I work on that every day so that we can fight on home soil and perform as well as possible.

I know that everyone works on the basis of our team and makes no effort to improve the car, and I have no doubt that we will reach our goal.

If Hamilton only talks about Silverstone, it means he is ready that Mercedes’ problems will continue in Azerbaijan and Canada and it will be difficult to compete with the leaders in the next two stages.

The British track is one of the fastest on the calendar and the configuration is more suited to the W13. While Hamilton is in 6th place in the individual standings, he has 50 points, while George Russell, his partner, already has 84 and he is in 4th place.
