Guanyu Zhou led the protocol for the second pre-season test day in Bahrain. The Alfa Romeo driver completed 132 laps with a best time of 1:31.610 seconds on the softest C5 compound.
The preparation for the season is over for Guanyu. On Saturday, Valtteri Bottas will return behind the wheel of Alfa Romeo, after which Zhou will take to the track in the first free practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Guanyu Zhou: “We are well aware that we are testing and that everyone is working with different settings, but it is still nice to see your name and the name of the team at the top of the protocol.
In general, the day went positively – we covered a long distance, completed all tasks, so I am satisfied. The car drove well both day and night – as the day progressed I felt more and more confident and attacked.
Today was my last day of testing, so I’m already looking forward to the start of the season next week. I feel ready for the new campaign and can’t wait to get back to racing.”
