Günter Steiner, head of Haas F1, after completing pre-season testing, noted the high level of reliability of all teams’ cars, as there were almost no technical problems.
“Look, I think overall these are the best tests in Formula 1 history,” said Steiner. How many times have we seen red flags? Three? Everyone was quietly spinning in circles, and it is enough to compare their numbers with the first tests of last year – in my opinion, nothing like this has ever happened.
This pleasantly surprises me. Five years ago, tests were interrupted by red flags every two to three hours. And now we all just went round and round and round and round. Almost boring picture, agree?
But personally I am only satisfied if we are fast. And although everything is going much smoother this year, I am not completely satisfied so far, because something always happens. But just a year ago, right now, we wondered how to get out of the hole we were in? .. And now I think we’ve dealt with this, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
