On the second day of testing, Lewis Hamilton experienced obvious problems with the stability of the rear of the car. Speaking at today’s press conference, the Briton said that testing is not easy for the team and that the W14 has inherited some limitations from last year’s chassis.
Lewis Hamilton «It is difficult to summarize the results of the tests in a nutshell. The first day went well, yesterday was much more difficult. Today’s morning session went well for George, I’ll be riding in half an hour – hope all goes well too.
There are now practically no ripples. This is a big step. It’s nice to drive on the highway in a car that doesn’t jump. But there are some underlying issues left over from last year’s chassis that we are working on.
I am very proud of the team members, even after a difficult last year everyone is positive. Their hard work last winter allowed us to cover such a long distance during testing.
I’ve been playing for this team for a long time and every year they come with the same attitude and confidence to solve all the problems we have. We will certainly get our way.”
