Max Verstappen: “After the tests I stayed in Bahrain to prepare for the first race of the season. Judging by the test results, we are going to start the season well. We are waiting for different circuits, but the team, as always, strives for excellence, for progress at every stage – this will be our goal until the end of the season. During testing we worked positively on all three days, we’ll see how the race weekend goes.”
Sergio Perez: “Finally the first week of racing has arrived! I’m glad I’m struggling again. In testing the RB19 performed well, reacted well to changes in settings – now I look forward to evaluating its behavior in qualifying and the race.
Tests don’t give a real picture of the balance of power, it’s interesting to see how it will be after qualifying. We are confident that we are in good shape now, but points will be awarded based on the results of the race weekend. I want to start the season positively and work consistently in Bahrain.”
