The driver of the Mercedes Formula 1 team Lewis Hamilton for medical reasons, they were allowed to wear their jewelry during the race in Bahrain.
According to TMZ, the FIA has allowed a Briton to wear a nose piercing because the process of putting it in and out of his nose could lead to “disfigurement”.
– The stewards consulted the FIA medical delegate who reviewed the medical report, examined the rider and approved the report. We have decided to take no further action as there are concerns about disfigurement due to frequent attempts to remove the jewellery.
Last year, the FIA announced that, for safety reasons, Hamilton would be banned from competing with decorations. However, Hamilton later submitted a medical certificate stating that he had suffered an infection when his braces were removed.
Hamilton finished fifth at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The second stage of the championship is scheduled for March 17-19 in Saudi Arabia.
