Christian Horner: Good day. Over the course of two sessions, we tweaked the settings, hitting the working range of the machine, so that on a long series of circles at the end of the session, the tempo was pretty decent. We still have to work in the evenings, there are still a few issues to resolve, but overall there is confidence that we are on the right track. The machine responds exactly as we expect.
Whether the reason is new tarmac or an updated configuration, but now we need slightly different settings here than a few years ago. Rubber is loaded differently on different parts of the track and new tires react differently. We continue to look for the optimal working range where the machine will be most efficient.”
