Alexander Molina retired from F1 for a new project

Alexander Molina worked in Formula 1 for about thirty years, where he was the main organizer of ceremonies and often flashed on television, as he was always near the podium when the awards were presented to drivers who distinguished themselves in the Grand Prix.

But now he has decided to take on a new challenge: Molina will be the head of the new championship, which from this year will be held under the auspices of the FIM – the EBK World Cup.

The new series claims to be a global championship, the stages of which will be held in city centers – the first such competitions will be organized in the summer of 2023 and a full season will be held in 2024.

Alexander Molina, Executive Director of the FIM EBK World Cup: “This is a very interesting and timely project, as it combines high speed, the need for strategic thinking and athletic training, and all this takes place in an era where our lives, especially in cities, changes beyond recognition .

I believe that e-bike racing is the most modern sport and my aim is to make it not only entertainment but also to inform, educate and inspire the public for a change in life making it more environmentally friendly.

The combination of these factors convinced me to apply my experience gained in Formula 1 as head of a new sport that will be a real breakthrough.
