Alpine F1 is also keeping a video diary this year, like many other teams, and the new documentary series is called Open Doors.
It follows from the name that the factory team of the French concern Renault invites fans, as it were, to see where the doors are normally closed to them. Of course, the audience is interested in what happens behind the scenes of racing events, although the very first scene of the first episode has absolutely nothing to do with motorsport.
Pierre Gasly card with his inner circle, which is not forbidden for racers, especially since everything happened on Wednesday, before the start of the race weekend. Then, on Thursday, he starts his fitness classes with his personal trainer, Ben Thorne.
Also on Thursday there are press conferences, virtual communication with fans and Esteban Ocon only appears in the third minute of the story. On the same day, Pierre and his partner go to a book signing, and judging by the mood of the audience, everyone is happy that a new page related to Alpine begins in Gasly’s career.
Friday is training day and Saturday starts with a new meeting with the fans, where Pierre and Esteban talk about their interesting racing fate, as they have known each other since childhood. At that time they could only dream of Formula 1, and now their dream has come true in a great way.
It is clear that in sport not everything and not always go as you want, but after a failed qualifying race engineer Pierre Karel Loos expresses the hope that he can still score points on Sunday. As we know, his department succeeded, but Esteban failed.
Windows in the frame only appear for a few seconds, and even then we only see his helmet and back: after leaving the Bahrain Grand Prix, he chose to leave immediately, which is also understandable. By the way, we don’t see Pierre at all, but at the very end we hear his voice, how he thanks the team on the radio for their work, for good tactics and well-coordinated pit stops – in general, he admitted that his first race behind the wheel of an Alpine car pleased him.
