Bottas’ garage added another Alfa Romeo

Valtteri Bottas shared a photo on social media of him driving a bright red Alfa Romeo saloon, and in the guise of a passenger sitting next to him, Tiffany Cromwell, his Australian girlfriend, is guessed.

The caption to the photo reads: “Starting race week…”

And the point here is not at all that Valtteri wants to remind everyone that like other Formula 1 drivers he has to start the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in a few days, but what exactly he is driving this week.

The photo shows not a simple Giulia sedan, but the exclusive GTAm version, which was released in an edition of only 500 copies, and Bottas became the owner of one of them.

It is clear from the reports of the press services of his team, as well as Alfa Romeo, that Valtteri personally ordered and bought this car, for which he visited the factory of the Italian company, which is located near Milan, after which he visited the Centro Stile in Turin – the famous department, which develops the design of all models of this brand.

“After purchasing one of the 500 units of the Giulia GTAm, Valtteri Bottas was invited to the Centro Stile in Turin, where he was received by the top management of the company. Valtteri had time to discuss future plans and talk about new projects. It seems that something is being prepared,” such an intriguing comment appeared on the pages of Alfa Romeo.

The GTAm differs from the standard Alfa Romeo Giulia saloon in that it is built for drivers who occasionally take to the track: it has only two seats, driver and passenger, six-point seat belts, carbon fiber body and under the hood – 3-litre V6 engine with 533 hp, developed by the Ferrari mechanics.

Of course, the suspension was also refined and reconfigured. The car has excellent dynamics and accelerates to hundreds in 3.6 seconds. Interestingly, the car kit includes a certified Bell racing helmet and each owner can take training in sporty driving techniques at the Alfa Romeo Racing Academy – this is also included in the price.

But something tells me Valtteri Bottas won’t need it.

Of course, the Giulia GTAm is not the first Alfa Romeo in his personal garage. In Finland, for example, he moves on the Stelvio crossover in the most powerful version of the Quadrifoglio.
