Perez: I hope it’s my turn to win

The first round of the season in Bahrain ended with a double win for Red Bull Racing. Team drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez are full of optimism, but are preparing for a bigger showdown next weekend in Jeddah.

Max Verstappen: “After a great start to the season in Bahrain, I am not looking forward to an easy ride in Jeddah. The waiting is for a circuit of a completely different type, which requires a fast car. However, I believe our car will be effective in fast corners.

The track was rebuilt a bit to improve visibility – I hope the work done will help the riders – previously some sections were dangerous.

Jeddah has a great city circuit with a lot of grip. I’ve always loved racing here.”

Sergio Perez: “We will try to maintain the momentum we had in Bahrain. We can certainly add a lot to make the car better. In the first race the team collected a lot of information for analysis and worked hard on the base.

It is very interesting how everyone will perform this week at the track in Jeddah, which is different from Bahrain.

I am looking forward to returning to the racetrack where I took pole position in 2022. Last year I was unlucky with the safety car, but I hope it’s my turn to win this time.”
