Ferrari has prepared new items for Jeddah

At the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Ferrari will present the first updates of the season for the SF-23 car. The head of the Scuderia Frederic Vasseur believes the team will look more competitive on the track in Jeddah.

“The characteristics of Jeddah are completely different from Bahrain in terms of grip and configuration, so the balance of power should be different,” Vasseur told Racingnews365. “Maybe we can squeeze more out of the car. In addition, we will be bringing a number of new products to Jeddah, and I hope this will help us take a step forward.

I think our problem is not with the concept of the car, but with the fact that we couldn’t squeeze speed out of it, and last weekend there were problems with the balance. We have huge potential to add. I don’t want to go into details about what’s new, but after what we saw in Bahrain I think we have a lot of room to improve the car’s handling.

In the current situation it is important to stay focused and get the most out of the technology we have. We must not forget that the results at the track in Bahrain are not always representative. We are just starting to work with the car – the team has only tested three days on one track and we need to better understand the characteristics of the SF-23 to get more out of it.
