Ralph Boschung, a Swiss Formula 2 driver for the Campos team, had to miss two rounds of the season, in Barcelona and Monaco, after experiencing severe neck pain after racing in Imola.
In addition, before the Monaco stage there was information that he was ready to go to the start, as he was feeling better, but when he started training on the city track, the discomfort returned and the doctors advised him not to put himself under unnecessary stress to quickly recover shape.
But it seems that Boschung has recovered and in Baku he plans to get behind the wheel again.
“Following today’s MRI examination, I am pleased to announce that I will be racing in Baku,” Ralph shared the news with fans via social networks. “Over the past few days, I had been treated by doctors to alleviate the effects of an injury that turned out to be serious and required proper treatment.
At some point I may still be in pain, but I’ve already been allowed to race.”
Despite missing two stages, Ralph remains in 11th place in the individual standings, his best result this season being 3rd in Sunday’s race at Imola.
