Former Formula 1 driver Timo Glock on Fernando Alonso’s imposed then canceled fine and Ferrari’s botched performance in Jeddah…
Timo Glock: “Fernando has been wrongly fined. It goes without saying that the regulations must be revised for such situations. In my opinion modern Formula 1 is very regulated, there are too many rules in it. The team gains no advantage if the jack hits the car while serving a penalty. Such actions with Alonso negatively affect the image of Formula 1.
I’m disappointed with how much Ferrari lost in the last stint. After switching to Hard both riders lost speed. Surprisingly, Mercedes finished confidently ahead of Ferrari. They seem to have an advantage in race pace.
Now it all depends on who is faster on a particular track under specific conditions – this will determine which team, Ferrari or Mercedes, will finish third after Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin.
