Valtteri Bottas has revealed a livery of two helmets that he will use in Melbourne before being auctioned off for Save the Children, the team’s official charity partner.
Finn joined forces with local Aboriginal artist Ricky Kildea to create two helmets for the Melbourne stage. One of them will be sold at an auction, which will be held from March 28 to April 11, Valtteri will personally hand over the valuable lot to the auction winner.
Valtteri Bottas: “I have always been interested in design, it is not surprising that sometimes I express this interest through the color of the helmet. Over the years, with the support of my friend Tiffany, I have become interested in Australian culture and history. She was born here, together we tried to show support for the indigenous people. This is how our collaboration with Ricky came about.
Ricky is a talented artist and I enjoyed getting creative with making helmets. I think these are two of the best designs I’ve ever presented on track and I’m delighted to sell one at a charity auction.”
