Alonso: I would be happy if it doesn’t rain tomorrow

In the second practice Fernando Alonso managed to show a good time before the rain started – and remained the leader of the session …

Fernando Alonso (1st): “It’s nice to be back in Australia and having the best time on Friday. In the first practice we conducted tests – everything went smoothly, and the second suffered from rain, so part of the program was postponed until tomorrow. We need to learn more about tire performance and long range pace – we didn’t have time for that on Friday.

The forecast for Saturday promises no rain, we will be happy if it comes without rain because we have worked in these conditions for the last two races.

Lance walk (16th): “Everyone was looking forward to getting back to Albert Park, it was great to get back to this track today.

Everything is fine with the car. We used the first training to test various details – we continue to learn how to work with the AMR23 and in the evening we will study everything well. In the second session we drove fewer laps than expected due to the rain, but that goes for everyone. Fortunately, the weather will be better tomorrow!”
