Relations between Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg have not always been cloudless, but Haas F1 boss Gunther Steiner believes there are no problems between them in his team…
Günther Steiner: “Niko quickly gets used to it. He is a real professional, he has already changed teams and knows how to adapt. This was one of the reasons for signing the contract.
He gets on well with Kevin. They have a good, professional working relationship. They are both adult riders. They know what we expect from them and both work to advance the team. That’s all we need. At the moment I have no complaints about them from this side, I hope they won’t be.
It is still difficult for me to judge their strengths and weaknesses. We only did one test and two races together. Apparently they have similar strengths. They are experienced, they have done this before. Kevin has a slight advantage – he has been with the team for several years and Niko is a rookie. But, as I said, he adapts quickly. Niko knows what is expected of him. At the moment everything is going very smoothly.”
