At a press conference on Friday, Pirelli F1 boss Mario Isola spoke about the reasons that motivated the company to participate in the tender to supply tires for the 2025-2027 seasons…
Mario Isola: “Such decisions are not easy. We are investing a lot of effort and money into Formula 1 and are happy with the results so far. Thirteen years is a long time, adding another three or four years is a serious commitment, but our sport is in good shape now, we are happy with the current situation.
We are happy to do our part, to follow the requests of drivers, teams, FIA and F1 to make the sport even better if possible.
We are currently parsing a rather long document. This is different from the past in that there are a lot more pages to analyze, but like I said, we want to apply and keep going. The tender is a process, we await its completion.”
