Fernando Alonso (4th): “I am satisfied with fourth place after a difficult qualifying. The weather was constantly changing, but we made progress with each session and today the car was fast. I think this is our best qualifying since the start of the season, with a minimal pole position. Let’s see how everything goes tomorrow because race pace is one of our strengths.
It will probably be difficult to overtake, but with such cool weather we are in for an interesting race with many variables. The goal is to earn as many points as possible.”
Lance walk (6th): “Today was fun! Albert Park has a great track where rider skill matters. The team performed well, finishing fourth and sixth at the start.
The temperature was constantly changing, it was hard to understand at what point the tires would start working, and we only had one set left before the last session – otherwise we could have gone faster. The results were incredibly tight, but we have good places to fight for high positions at the finish of tomorrow’s race.
