George Russell (retirement): “We did everything right this weekend. We had a great qualifying, today I had a perfect start, I had a good first lap. All three days I felt comfortable and confident in the car. I don’t see any reason that could keep me from fighting for the win today, so I’m very disappointed with the retirement.
At the entrance to the fast turn ten I felt something was wrong with the car and after three corners it stopped. It’s not my day.
We still have a lot of work to do to catch up with Red Bull, but this weekend left a positive feeling. We have made progress with each trip to the track and achieved the highest possible result. I am proud of the work we have done.”
