Lewis Hamilton is happy that Valtteri Bottas recently changed his image, went into the coffee business and gin production – and looks happy with life, although the results leave much to be desired. The Brit believes that mental comfort is no less important than lap time…
Lewis Hamilton: “It’s great. I just saw Valtteri in flip flops and brown spots. It’s great to see him change, he feels more and more a part of himself and knows exactly where he wants to go. It’s important for all of us to find something to do outside of the job.
We all work hard, we travel a lot, we are away from our friends and family for a long time, so we miss out on a lot. To maintain your mental health, it’s important to find something else you enjoy, whether it’s learning foreign languages, playing a musical instrument, or playing soccer – it doesn’t matter. It’s great that Valtteri has found something different for himself, I wish him all the best.”
