We’ve written several times about Lewis Hamilton and Brad Pitt’s film project – the Hollywood star has landed the lead role in the upcoming Formula 1 feature film. Filming, directed by director Joseph Kosinski, begins at Silverstone as part of the British Grand Prix. Prix in July.
Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali believes a big-budget Hollywood movie with a star of the first order will spark even more interest in the World Championship.
Stefano Domenicali: “When we started working with Netflix, a lot of people asked: “What’s going on? It’s none of our business. But now we can evaluate the effect achieved.
We then strengthened our presence on social networks and made sure that the teams and riders actively promote our sport. Now we want to do something completely different.
We will start filming in Silverstone very soon. This will be the first film with a large part devoted to racing. And we will control this process to prove that Formula 1 never stops.”
