Felipe Drugovic: Formula E has always attracted me

A double Formula E round will be held in Berlin this weekend and then, on Monday, April 24, on the circuit, built on the territory of the old Templehof Airport, beginner tests will take place.

Felipe Drugović, last year’s F2 champion and Aston Martin F1 reserve driver, will compete alongside other drivers, which we talked about, but ahead of testing one of motorsport’s most promising young talent revealed why he is interested in joining working behind the wheel of a Maserati electric racing car.

Felipe Drugovic: “I can’t wait to try the Maserati Tipo Folgore, the third generation Formula E car, on the track for the first time. This category has always attracted me and during the tests in Berlin I really want to compare the feeling of driving this electric car with other single cars I’ve had the pleasure of racing in previous seasons.

I am aware that I can play an active role in the development of the factory team of the legendary Maserati brand in its first season in the World Championship. It’s a great honor for me and I’m very excited.”

The second young driver invited by the Maserati team to test in Berlin was Hugh Barter, a 17-year-old Australian with a Japanese passport, who competes in Formula 3 for Campos Racing.
