Formula E: Roberto Meri drives Mahindra for testing

Roberto Meri is 32 years old this year and he has not competed in anything in his long racing career. He has driven Formula Renault 2.0 and 3.5 cars, the former F3, GP2 and F2, DTM, the Brazilian Stock Car Series, the Japanese Super GT, the exotic S5000 Tasman Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Of course, we remember that in Formula 1 he spent the 2015 season as part of the Manor Marussia F1 team, which by that time had ceased to be Russian.

But in Formula E, Mary has not yet appeared, although at one time he was about to sign a contract with one of the teams in the electric series, but it did not work out. However, this gap will be closed in less than a week: Mahindra invited an experienced Spaniard to tests in Berlin, which will be held on April 24.

According to the Madrid newspaper Marca, this is due to the fact that the founder of the series Alejandro Agag and its current leader Alberto Longo want to draw the attention of their compatriots to Formula E in this way, since its popularity is not yet high in Spain.

There is no doubt that Mary remains a strong professional, capable of showing good speeds on any technique. Last year, Roberto unexpectedly received an offer to replace the temporarily retired Ralph Boschung in Formula 2, and the Spanish driver, driving an unfamiliar car, without any preparation, finished in the top three on the tricky circuit of the Red Bull Ring .

In addition to him, Mahindra invited Jordan King, who last season teamed up with the Indian team as a reserve driver, and Jehan Daruwala, who competes in Formula 2, for tests in Berlin.
