We wrote that the FIA rejected Ferrari’s protest over the penalty for Carlos Sainz at the restart of the Australian Grand Prix. The stewards believed that Ferrari did not provide significant evidence and the Scuderia were disappointed with this decision.
“We acknowledge the FIA’s decision to reject our protest in relation to the fine imposed on Carlos Sainz following the results of the Australian Grand Prix.
We are disappointed with this decision as we feel we have provided enough new substantive arguments for a review, especially given the specific circumstances and numerous incidents during the last reboot.
But we respect the FIA’s decision and look forward to starting wider conversations with the FIA, Formula 1 and teams to further improve control over our sport to ensure the highest level of fairness and stability.” the official statement.
