Debutant Williams Logan Sargent spent three races in Formula 1. The young driver has not yet earned any points, but believes he performed better than his own expectations at the start of the season.
“So far the season is going well,” Racingnews365 quoted Logan Sargent as saying. “Certainly, I have a very steep learning curve, but I feel comfortable in the car and in the team. I know that speed is not a problem for me, but there is no doubt that I still have a lot to learn – how to handle races, different procedures. I need to understand how the balance shifts from session to session and make sure we do our best to keep the best opportunities.
The difference between Formula 1 and Formula 2 and Formula 3 is how much more car parameters can be changed using the steering wheel. I have yet to figure out all these subtleties and understand how it can be used to gain an advantage. I feel like I keep learning how to adjust the settings properly for me.
Honestly, at the current stage of the season, I’ve achieved even more than I expected. Now it is important to keep making progress, building on the work done. I have to add more in many ways.
In terms of pace I’m fast and I feel like I always have a chance to get a good result in qualifying and racing. It’s nice to know we have speed. Now it is important to bring all the little things to perfection. I feel that at Williams I have everything I need for this.
