Hamilton contributes to F1 film

This week it was announced that Apple Studios has bought the rights to a Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt. The project is of interest not only to racing fans because of the indicated subject, but also because of the fact that Lewis Hamilton is mentioned among the producers of the photo.

At a press conference in Baku on Friday, the Mercedes driver answered some questions about the film: “I can’t give many details because I don’t know if there has been an official announcement about the film. However, we are already at work, and this is a really exciting project that everyone has been waiting for a long time.

I can’t say more, but we’re already working on the script, for example – I’m a big part of the writing – it’s fun. We have a great time with Brad Pitt, which is unbelievable! I love watching him develop character.

In addition, the task I took on was to ensure diversity in the cast and crew. I specifically emphasized this point at the beginning of the project.

And if you’ve seen racing movies in the past, they weren’t all spectacular, and we want to change that. We want to show how interesting our sport is for people who have never seen a race. At the same time, it is necessary to preserve the heritage and convey the real racing spirit in the film and the script. This is also my role.”

Asked if other Formula 1 drivers will be involved in the film, Lewis said: “I have no doubt that at some point we will need the help of drivers.

It is important to emphasize that this is not my film, this is a film about Formula 1, so it is important for all of us involved in sports in one way or another to pass on our knowledge to the authors from the movie. Many people are already involved in the work.

There are already rumors that some scenes are planned to be shot with the participation of the racers, but we are not actors and don’t want the movie to go bad because of us! That’s why I’m not going to participate in the shooting – good actors are needed for this work.
