Williams didn’t go without a hitch on Friday – in the first training session Nicholas Latifi’s car’s electronics failed, and in the second Alex Albon hit the wall and the session ended ahead of schedule.
Alex Albon (18th): “All in all, a normal day. A bit complicated, although the car behaved well. The feel of it was one of the best this season but in terms of speed we were way behind which is a bit confusing. We need to understand what is happening. We have something to work on.”
Nicholas Latific (20th): “Not the best day – I lost most of the first practice due to electronic issues.
On street circuits it is better not to miss a single session – with each of them you add confidence, treat braking points. By feeling this confidence, I can go faster.
Tomorrow I have to catch up, I’m making the most of every lap to prepare for qualifying.”
