McLaren will bring several new products to Baku, the potential of which they expect to reveal later…
Lando Norris: “I am looking forward to the race in Baku and the next stages. Three free weeks were productive, I worked on the simulator, talked to engineers – and was able to take a break for the next stages.
I’m glad we have a street race ahead of us, where we’re going to try out a new sprint format. I wonder how it will work. Hopefully the fans enjoy it.
Baku has a narrow track that does not forgive mistakes. We will study the effectiveness of the new products the team will bring this weekend.”
Oscar Pistri: “I am well rested and ready to fight. I raced in Baku in Formula 2, it’s a great track overlooking the city – quite difficult to find the settings given the long straight at the end of the circle.
We worked hard on the simulator to get the settings right as soon as possible on Friday, because we only have one practice this weekend.”
