Aston Martin are pleased with Friday’s results – they were able to do a lot and show a good time…
Sebastian Vettel (11th): “The first day of the weekend turned out to be positive. In the first practice it was very windy – in such conditions it is easy to block the rubber when braking or flying off the track. A few times and I had a blockage, but otherwise everything went smoothly.
In the first session we solved problems with the balance and in the second session the behavior of the car changed for the better. We need to be in good shape in qualifying tomorrow.”
Lance Walk (13th): “Happy day. Today we learned a lot, showed good lap times and prepared for the rest of the weekend.
At one point I hit the barrier but nothing broke so it didn’t affect the work. This is also part of adapting to the song – you had to feel the rhythm and push the limits of the possible.
I really like the circuit in Baku, it’s an interesting challenge for all of us – I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”
