In Melbourne, alpine riders Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly collided. Speaking at a press conference in Baku, Esteban Okon said the team has discussed what happened, left the incident in the past and is ready to move on.
Esteban Okon: “There was a racing incident in Melbourne after a difficult restart. We discussed everything in the team, so there are no problems. In our place could be any other racer. In that race we had a good pace, the team claimed a good result, which could be very encouraging.
The team brought novelties to Baku. Our guys on base worked hard during the three week break not only preparing upgrades but also repairing the machines. Thank you very much for your efforts.
It’s always great when the team brings updates. In the past, the strong point of the team was that all the novelties prepared were effective. We will have more novelties in the coming races.
There will be a lot of points played this weekend and I hope we can get a result. I look forward to getting back behind the wheel to see what’s new.”
