Almost all teams have a tradition of releasing a poster on the eve of the next stage of the World Cup, and everyone solves this problem in different ways. But not for the first time it seems that the most interesting creative approach in this genre is used in Alfa Romeo. In any case, many fans, commenting on the poster dedicated to the upcoming race in Baku, write that the posters of the Swiss team are the best.
Like it or not, it’s not for us to judge, but another work created by the artist on behalf of Alfa Romeo turned out to be really clever. It is made in the style of classic comics and the fonts evoke direct associations with the famous computer game Street Fighter, which appeared in the late 1980s.
However, when Formula 1 racers perform on city circuits, they are figuratively referred to as street fighters. Also the slogan we see at the top of the poster seems quite justified: “Expect the unexpected.”
What Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas, the central characters of the poster, will surprise us in Baku, we will soon find out.
