Athletistic/Formula-1. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc commented on his victory in qualifying for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where he beat Red Bull’s Max Verstappen by two tenths of a second.
“Am I surprised? Of course we are! We were hoping to get ahead of Mercedes before this weekend, but we ended up in first place in qualifying! We are still behind Red Bull on the long stints, so our target is to keep them behind.” and win.
I am very happy with my circle. For all the riders, this weekend was difficult because of just one training session. However, I felt good from the start.
Tomorrow we will only have one set of tires for qualifying, so we are not allowed to make any mistakes. Let’s see how everything goes,” Leclerc said after qualifying in Baku.
