Athletistic/Formula-1. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has commented on his second place finish in qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Formula 1. As a result, he lost only two tenths to his opponent Charles Leclerc, who took pole position.
Verstappen said: “Making a perfect lap on this track is always difficult. On the second attempt, we decided to change tactics in the warm-up lap, and that may have influenced the result. We start second, but we know that our car is solid over long distances, so the situation is far from catastrophic. Of course, it would be better to start first, but we only have to go around a car.
We await the sprint and the second qualification with interest. It’s a tough track so we have to play hard and see what we can do next.”
