Before the start of Saturday’s sprint, Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner spoke about his expectations…
Christian Horner: “From what we see this weekend, Ferrari seriously increased the speed on the straight, so at the end of the straight we were almost even. They look good this weekend, but no one has done a long run of circles to compare so far. I think in Friday practice the longest run was four laps, so tire temperature could be one of the most important factors in the race.
Sprint in Baku is a survival race. Three sessions went well in Formula 1, but today’s Formula 2 race was full of incidents. It just goes to show how quickly things can go wrong and that on a day like today there is a lot to lose and not much to gain. Today it is important to finish without damaging the car.”
