The weekend in Baku was unsuccessful for Alfa Romeo, and in today’s race Valtteri Bottas finished last and Guanyu Zhou retired due to overheating.
Valttery Bottas (18th): “Today there was absolutely no possibility to hold on to points. You need to understand what happened and how to restore the previous speed.
In the second corner I was hit from the left and from behind, the car was damaged and after that the race seemed infinitely long. We tried to get back to the fight, because surprises are always possible in Baku, but nothing happened.”
Guanyu Zhou (retirement): “Losing is always unpleasant, but today we had no chance to earn points. My car had to be taken out of the race – it was overheating, warning signs appeared on the display.
In general, the weekend turned out to be difficult for all of us. We have to find reasons and work hard to take a step forward.”
