Victor Martin, an ART driver who finished fourth in Sunday’s race at Baku, has been disqualified and struck from the final race record after FIA experts determined the Frenchman’s car did not meet technical regulations.
During the post-race inspection it was found that “the fins on the underside of car #6 were 3.4mm below the steering rod, in violation of Rule 4.3.13 of the Technical Regulations.”
This article states that no part of the bottom edges should be below the control bar or 10mm above it.
After Marten’s disqualification, Frederic Vesti, a Prema rider, moved up to the 4th line of the protocol, and Arthur Leclerc, a DAMS driver, now closes the top ten, finishing 11th on track.
In the team standings, ART Grand Prix dropped to 3rd place and DAMS to second place.
