The race weekend in Baku will be the first of the season with a sprint on Saturday. Logan Sargent believes riders who can’t claim the points won’t attack the full distance, but will use the sprint to gather information on tire performance in preparation for Sunday’s race.
Logan Sargent: “I think if we can’t claim the points then the sprint will be an information gathering session for us for Sunday’s race.
Of course there is always the possibility that something crazy will happen in the first corner, which means there is a chance for points. But if you don’t wear goggles after six or seven laps, the sprint becomes more of a test session for you.
I believe that the stage in Baku can turn out to be rich in events. If you look at the situation from our point of view, then this is even good, but it is important to stay out of trouble. I am sure the stage will be hectic and I will act on the situation.
