Max Verstappen has prepared a new version of his racing helmet design especially for the upcoming Miami Grand Prix – incidentally, this is the first race in 2023 at which the two-time world champion has timed such an action.
“You can guess from the color scheme where I will be using this helmet during the Miami Grand Prix,” said Max. “The overall design is the same as my usual helmet, I like it and wanted to keep it. But the colors have changed a bit – in my opinion it turned out great!
We decided to add turquoise and I asked Schuberth if they could paint the inside of the helmet the same color. For the first time in their practice they did this, and in my opinion this sequence looks very cool – including the color that the back of the helmet is painted in.
The design is clean and simple, just the way I like it. I’m very happy with the end result – I hope you enjoy it too!”
According to Verstappen, the color scheme of blue, teal, white and magenta fits well with the glamorous nature of the weekend in Miami and palm leaves are also used in the helmet’s design.
