Hamilton at risk of missing Canadian Grand Prix due to spinal problems

Team Leader, Formula 1 Mercedes Wolf Toto says the British Lewis Hamilton could miss the Canadian Grand Prix due to back pain.

Briton Hamilton suffered severe pain throughout the Azerbaijan Grand Prix due to the car bouncing. The seven-time Formula 1 champion’s level of discomfort was so severe that he nearly lost control of himself on several occasions and was barely able to save the car from a crash.

After the race, in which Hamilton finished fourth, Wolf was forced to apologize to the 37-year-old Briton. When asked if there was any danger that Hamilton wouldn’t be able to compete in Montreal, Wolf admitted that this was very real.

– This is not a joke. Hamilton has spinal issues and that could have repercussions. At this point, he may be worse than many. Although almost everyone said they felt discomfort. I don’t think that’s just Lewis’ problem. He probably suffered the most, but in general it also affects George [Расселла] and many more. So the solution may be that we release someone from the reserve in the next stage, – quotes the words of Wolf GPFans.

The Canadian Grand Prix will take place in Montreal from June 17 to 19 on a bumpy circuit, as well as the stage completed in Azerbaijan.
