Logan Sargent, the American Williams racer, is of course happy to perform in every way on the ‘home circuit’, being a Florida native, but he is willing to admit that he is in for a rough weekend. By the way, in his youth he was engaged in karting near the Hard Rock Stadium.
Logan Sargent: “It’s nice to be back home after a weekend in Baku, and I even managed to spend a few days at home, fully recovering and relaxing by the water, which was nice . And of course I’m looking forward to this weekend – I’m glad I’m familiar with this local warm climate.
But the weekend will be difficult, because I don’t know this route, so I face serious difficulties. Still, I’m in a great mood!
I started racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway which is only 10 minutes away. In those days we went there with my father and my brother. It is clear that in our youth we loved to race, we loved motorsport, we loved this adrenaline rush and eventually it became our passion for a long time. And here I am, having come full circle, back to Miami for my first Formula 1 race back home! So of course I’m looking forward to it.
I’m really enjoying myself here, and probably almost a thousand people have already asked me to get a ticket for the Grand Prix – no, not a thousand, of course, but a hundred people. However, it is not as easy for me to get these tickets as everyone thinks!
Actually, I’m going to do my first race in America in an open-wheel car, and it’s going to be awesome. It’s great to communicate with American fans, with friends, with family – there is always a nice atmosphere here! It’s being brought to the American public and I’m thrilled to be able to experience and enjoy it for the first time this weekend.”
