Carlos Sainz said Ferrari has prepared new items for the Miami Grand Prix. The team does not hope to let Red Bull Racing fight for victory, but they expect to close the gap a bit more.
Carlos Sainz: “I’m glad the last stage is over. I had a rough weekend, after which I analyzed a lot and turned the page. Even if you manage to show a good result, you should quickly turn the page and move on, never mind a bad result.
Fifth place in Baku isn’t such a bad performance, but I’m glad that race is in the past and we came to Miami. Our car is getting minor updates – we don’t expect drastic measures, but these should be steps in the right direction. The team expects to continue to make progress, as we have done in several previous races.
We hope we can close the gap to Red Bull, but as for the chances of getting ahead of them… In Baku, Charles took pole, but you saw how fast they were in the race. I think you can estimate our chances of getting ahead of Red Bull.”
