Bad weekend for McLaren in Miami

Weekend in Miami was extremely unlucky for McLaren. On Saturday both drivers fell out in the first part of qualifying and on Sunday they finished in the final of the race.

Lando Norris (17th): “Tough day. We just didn’t have enough speed. I had a good start, but in the first corner I got hit and I was left behind for the whole race. We changed the strategy in the hope that something will happen during the race, but it didn’t work.

We will go back to basics, reset and keep fighting for the best result in the next race.”

Oscar Pistri (19th): “The brake-by-wire braking system didn’t work for six or seven laps, and then the number of problems only increased. Only the first lap was really successful, when I overtook five cars – it was the best moment of the weekend.

Of course I am disappointed with the result and the fact that I had to constantly troubleshoot the car during the race. We will do our best to achieve more in Imola.”
