Alfa Romeo drivers scored no points in Miami. There were no retirements in the race and the car did not allow fighting because of the speed.
Valttery Bottas (13th): “There have been positive moments this weekend, but we still have a lot to do to fight for places in the top ten.
I got off to a good start and gained a few places back, but I couldn’t keep the positions I had gained – in the race the car was not as fast as in qualifying.
The result reflects our current potential, but the team will bring some new products to Imola. I hope they will allow us to improve and fight for points. I look forward to the next steps.”
Guanyu Zhou (16th): “This weekend we took a step forward, especially in qualifying, now we have to work on earning points on Sunday.
In the race it was very difficult to get out of the group of drivers with DRS, but on a clear track the car immediately went faster.
I know everyone at the grassroots is working hard to get more speed. I’m looking forward to the new products we will receive in Imola, and stages on stationary circuits – I think they are more suitable for our car.
