Miami Grand Prix boss and Hard Rock Stadium director Tom Garfinkel said on Sunday that a night race was being discussed despite earlier protests from locals over noise pollution.
Tom Garfinkel: “We have discussed this topic several times. The weather is unpredictable at this time of year. In 2023 it was unusually hot, now the temperature is quite comfortable. But there are many other factors, including TV broadcasts. We are open to negotiations.
There’s no need to make any decisions at this point, but we’re talking about how things could look if such a decision were made.
We did a lot of rebuilding in this phase. There are plans to use the pit complex outside of the Grand Prix. I want to put rider nameplates over the pits so someone can, say, rent Lewis Hamilton pits, park their car there, hire a bartender or chef, or get some other first-class service.
