After discussions between Formula 1, the president of the FIA, the authorities and other parties, it has been decided not to organize the Grand Prix of Imola this weekend, because it is not possible to lead the event safely under such conditions.
Formula 1 recognized the decision as fair and responsible, given the difficult situation in the region and not wanting to put additional pressure on local authorities and emergency services.
