On August 5 and 6, St. Petersburg will host GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023 – a festival of motorsport, speed and music.
On May 5, 2023, as part of this sports and entertainment event, a press conference and ceremony for the signing of a cooperation agreement between ANO ROSGONKI and National Sports TV Channel LLC took place.
Alexey Titov, general director of ANO ROSGONKI, and Alexander Tashchin, general producer of the Match TV channel, spoke at the press conference. Topics on plans for the development and popularization of motorsport in Russia were discussed, and a cooperation agreement was signed under the GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023 project.
“It is very valuable for us that Match TV will act as the general information partner of GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023. This means that we can tell and show our project to a wider audience and popularize motorsport in Russia. I am sure that the collaboration with Match TV is an important step in the development of the festival. And we thank our partner for that!” – said the general director of ANO “ROSGONKI” Alexei Titov.
Alexey Titov also spoke about the rich entertainment program of GARAGE FEST and named the second artist who will perform a major solo concert on August 6 on the main stage of the Igora Drive Autodrom – this artist will be the talented singer Mari Kraimbreri. Famous motorsport figures gathered in Match TV’s press center to discuss the festival’s sports and entertainment programme.
Dmitry Dobrovolsky, General Manager of the Russian Drift Series, shared the details of the 4th stage of RDS Europe and also noted that holding the stage as part of the GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023 festival will be an additional reason to bring spectators to to attract the event , as drifting is one of the most spectacular motorsport disciplines .
Tigran Seferyan, Chairman of the Drag Racing Committee of the Russian Automobile Federation, organizer of the RDRC championship, highlighted a major part of the festival program – the Formula Student project, in which students from leading technical universities will present and test their formula cars on the Igora Drive Autodrom.
Nikita Muravin, the founder and head of the Autoculture project, said that the GARAGE FEST festival will present an exposition consisting of legendary cars, motorcycles, as well as prototypes and future legends. Cars are exhibited according to the stated ideas and divided into thematic zones.
G-Drive Racing team representative Roman Rusinov also spoke as a speaker at a press conference, explaining why endurance racing is becoming more and more popular in Russia and pointing out the high level of organization of the 2022 Russian Endurance Challenge, which was also held as part of the Igora Drive GARAGE FEST. The pilot shared his plans for the 2023 racing season, specifically the REC 2023 competition in St. Petersburg at the Igora Drive Autodrom.
Ticket sales for GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023 are already open. The ticket program includes three categories: VIP, Comfort and Free Zone. The cost of tickets will change according to a pre-planned schedule: now a ticket for two festival days in the Free Placement Zone will cost only 1,500 rubles, prices will increase on June 1.
