The Circuit Enzo e Dino Ferrari has announced on its website that the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Emilia-Romagna will not take place this year, fans who have purchased tickets can exchange them for a ticket for the 2024 event or request a refund.

The Imola Italian circuit stage was scheduled to take place from May 19-21, but was canceled due to heavy rain and flooding in the area.

Due to the ongoing weather emergency in the Emilia-Romagna region, the Formula 1 Grand Prix scheduled for May 19-21 will not take place. All fans have been informed of the situation. Ticket holders can exchange them for tickets to the 2024 event, or can issue a refund, the statement said.

Earlier, the president of the Automobile Club of Italy, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, announced that due to the current situation, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix could extend the contract with Formula 1 by one year, until ‘in 2026.

The next F-1 race is scheduled for May 28 in Monaco.
